On July 18th, the Yangtze River Delta's first island low-altitude logistics trial route successfully completed its maiden flight in Daishan County, Zhoushan, Zhejiang. A drone completed the cargo transport from Daishan Island to Dingzuimen Reef in just 12 minutes. Jointly operated by China Communications Construction Third Engineering Bureau, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Low-Altitude Economic Research Institute, and Wanlian Aviation Technology, the route focuses on island infrastructure construction, emergency medical care, and seafood transportation, breaking through the bottlenecks of traditional transportation due to weather constraints. Meanwhile, a network of 10 low-altitude routes between Shanghai, Zhoushan, and Ningbo was approved, linking core nodes in Shanghai, Zhoushan, and Ningbo, laying the foundation for the large-scale application of the regional low-altitude economy. Shanghai Jiao Tong University also released the "Island Low-Altitude Logistics Industry Development Blue Book" to promote the industry's transition from pilot projects to large-scale development.
